Reccomended Accommodations
September is one of the peak months for tourism in NYC, therefore we recommend securing accommodation in advance. There are many options available throughout Manhattan and the other boroughs, with a wide range of costs and proximity to the venue.

To provide a reference, we have selected some hotels in different areas.

Tip: do not underestimate travel times in NYC, subways are generally on time (buses can be more often delayed due to traffic) but the distance to cover can be large.

 

Midtown Manhattan (The Venue Area)

Pros: Staying here puts you within walking distance of the conference. It is also near to most tourist attractions of the city.

Ø  Subway Lines to Venue: N, Q, R, W or B, D, F, M to 34 St-Herald Square.

Ø  Hotels:

·         The Gregorian Hotel(42 W 35th St): The Gregorian Hotel has been a flash of inspiration in the heart of the Garment District, offering a luxe escape from the pace of the city. A promo code for conference participants is available for this hotel.

·         Hotel Riu Plaza Times Square(305 W 46th St): Its location in the heart of Manhattan makes the ideal spot from which to enjoy the authentic pace of New York life.

·         Edison Hotel(228 W 47th St): A classic Art Deco hotel in the heart of the theater district.

·         New Yorker Hotel(481 8th Ave): Iconic building near Penn Station, offering spacious rooms and great views.

·         Marriott Vacation Club(33 W 37th St): A larger, reliable 4-star hotel with professional service.

·         Grand Hyatt Hotel (109 E 42nd St): Located directly next to Grand Central Terminal.

·         For a more budget-friendly option:The Pod Hotel (400 W 42nd St): Modern, "micro-style" rooms that are efficient for single travelers.

 

Upper West Side (Residential & Quiet)

Pros: A quieter, classic residential NYC feel near Central Park and museums.

Ø  Subway Lines to Venue: Take the 1, 2, 3 or A, C train downtown to 34 St-Penn Station or the B, D train downtown to 34 St-Herald Square (~30 mins).

Ø  Hotels:

·         Belleclaire Hotel(2175 Broadway): Offers a classic NYC feel near 77th St.

·         Empire Hotel(44 W 63rd St): Near Lincoln Center, featuring a rooftop terrace and pool.

·         Beacon Hotel(2130 Broadway): Renowned for larger rooms with kitchenettes.

 

Queens (Long Island City)

Pros: LIC is often more budget-friendly and is just one or two subway stops from Manhattan.

Ø  Subway Lines to Venue: Take the 7 train from Hunters Point Avenue to 5 Ave-Bryant Park or the F train from Court Square to 34 St-Herald Square (~20-25 mins for both options).

Ø  Hotels:

·         LIC Hotel(44-04 21st St): Renowned for its terrace with skyline views and cleanliness.

 

Brooklyn (Downtown Brooklyn)

Pros: Offers a vibrant cultural scene and less expensive hotels.

Ø  Subway Lines to Venue: Take the A or C train to Penn Station, or the F or Q train to 34 St-Herald Square (~ 25 mins).

Ø  Hotels:

·         Ace Hotel (252 Schermerhorn St): A stylish 4-star hotel with a life-filled lobby.
